It was purchased from Germany after the Berzelii riots in the summer of 1951. Large youth gangs had gathered in the park for several evenings, causing disturbances and putting the police in a tight spot.
At one point, a police officer was thrown into Nybroviken. The water cannon can hold 3.5 cubic meters of water and features six spray nozzles at knee height, along with a cannon on the roof capable of operating at 15-bar pressure. This pressure is enough to knock a person down. The stream can reach a distance of 50 meters. The crew consisted of three people: a commander, a driver, and one person who operated the cannon. The nozzles were maneuvered from inside the vehicle by the commander. It was on display with us throughout the summer of 2018, until September.
