Summer of 2017 – Electric cars from then to now

The exhibition’s oldest electric car, a Baker Electric from 1908 shows that the electric car is not a novelty but a serious attempt to compete with cars equipped with combustion engines during the early 20th century. The electric cars were popular among women because they were quiet, clean and odorless. We also showed more modern electric vehicles to show that electricity is still interesting as a fuel.
